Electrical and Control

David came to Rando Productions with vast expertise in automation and controls engineering. His design of custom flying effects, fall protection, industrial rigging, touring and theatrical rigging, set design and metal fabrication, and his knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic control systems including the design, maintenance and repair of electronics and circuit boards expanded the turn-key services Rando offers our clients.

At Rando, David takes a project from initial concept, through fabrication and installation for a variety of attractions ranging from themed entertainment to parade float fabrication and automation. He works with heavy mechanical equipment, hydraulically and pneumatically actuated equipment, as well as smoke, fog, flame and water systems.

David was part of the Rando team who designed and constructed the Tinker Bell float for Disneyland's Main Street Electrical Light Parade, the first new addition in about 30 years, and worked on the special effects for the National World War II Museum's Victory Theater in New Orleans. He also was contributed to the design and programming of special effects for TV shows American Idol and America's Got Talent.
